michelle and andrew: secret garden wedding

technology is so cool.  michelle is a bride that i worked with on her wedding invitations, although we never had one face-to-face meeting during the whole process.  she lives in LA, and i live in atlanta...so we conducted all of our business over the phone and email, and it worked perfectly!

michelle is the sister-in-law of my very good friend, erin hess livecchi.  erin and i were college roommates, sorority pledge sisters, constant partners-in-crime, co-workers at the most laughable pizza joint you've ever seen in your life (davinci's to fellow UGA grads...r.i.p. garlic rolls) and sex and the city addicts together...back before it was cool.  she even threw me a surprise 21st birthday party with a satc theme - awesome!  oh, and speaking of birthdays, erin is turning thirty TOMORROW!!!!!  she is out-to-here pregnant right now with a sweet baby boy that i cannot WAIT to meet, but i know she will find some way to properly celebrate her big day.

erin referred michelle to me for her wedding invitations, and i was so glad i could help out.  michelle planned a wedding in the pocono mountains of pennslyvania with a secret garden theme, so she used all shades of green, gold and cream.  mmm....lovely.  i believe that every invitation should have one 'wow' factor...it usually correlates to what you splurge on - whether it's letterpress printing, a sewing detail or some kind of texture addition beyond the paper.  what makes it special.  michelle's invitation had a great wow factor - for their names and the reception line, we used a gold foil method of printing...so the text is literally shiny gold.  how cool is that?!  check it out.
we lined the inner envelope with a gold paper, so it tied in just the right amount of gold.  gold calligraphy on outer envelope courtesy of carol gray calligraphy.

here are some images of michelle's perfect secret garden wedding day!
table of bridesmaid's bouquets.  love all of those cream and green flowers.
what a gorgeous bride!
erin and her hubby john...how cute is she preggers?!
newlyweds!
even the china played into the theme.
what a sweet couple.  michelle and andrew, congratulations!!  erin, happy birthday one day early!!!!
