the other day, you met my cousin sophie with the
beautiful wedding.  she is quite the devoted calliespondence customer, you see.  she commissioned me to design post-wedding (i.e. married monogram) stationery for her and new hubby pat to use as thank you notes...and mentioned that she loved the color palette i used in the nursery for my 15-month-old son.  we did not find out whether we were having a boy or a girl before he made his debut, so we chose a gender neutral color scheme of yellow, black and white.  i took one look at jenna lyon's nursery when it was featured in domino magazine (
may you rest in peace...i still miss that publication) and said "done!"  and talk about an easy sell - my husband went to georgia tech and a few of their MANY team colors are yellow, black and white.
so here is where rush lays his head to sleep every night.  or, this plus around eighteen sandra boynton books on the floor, and maybe a stuffed animal or four spread out for good measure.
and here is sophie and pat's new stationery...
that elum bamboo paper makes me swoon.  sophie has pretty handwriting, doesn't she? i just got this sweet letter from her on her brand spanking new notecards.
not a bad match, are they?!
xo
