first up, don't you wonder what abbie, the gal who won the last giveaway, got? she won a set of 12 foldover notecards with a surprise envelope liner. she chose for her notecards to say "the leddys" in a sour apple color...which we paired with matching envelopes and i selected a fun liner. i couldn't make it too girly because her husband marty would be signing his name to these! so no flowers and no pink allowed.
also, if you are engaged or expecting a baby and having showers thrown for you - these make a great gift for your hosts and hostesses! i have done this for several clients and they go over big - who doesn't like or need personalized notecards, right? we can do first names, first and last names OR monograms. here's an example of a monogrammed set.
now. let's get to the new giveaway!! i'm going to give away a set of 20 flat printed, flat notecards with an envelope liner - and of course you tell me what you would like the text and colors to be! all you have to do is leave a comment with what you are most thankful for this thanksgiving season.
my answer is: (the usuals first...) my family and their good health - a whole mess of sweet friends in my life, many of whom are the reason for calliespondence having gotten off the ground - a roof over my head and food on my table every night - God's grace - watching rush point to where he thinks his belly button is (usually anywhere at all on his midsection) - the real housewives of beverly hills and the entertainment they bring along with them (i cannot get enough of lisa vanderpump - she's hysterical!) - ina's pumpkin banana mousse tart - a wonderful husband who traced over 100 envelope liners for me this weekend (thanks babe!!) - la crema chardonnay (yum. so buttery.) - all of my printers who bend over backwards to meet my crazy deadlines and off the wall specs - and all of YOU who make this venture and blog even possible.
i'll annouce the winner on wednesday! now go forth and be thankful in the comments section!!
xo
I'm in!
ReplyDeleteOk, I am thankful for my new AWESOME job that allows me to finally help the people in my community. I am thankful for my husband who is the most amazing person ever and God really broke the mold when they made Bman (well him and RBB). I'm thankful he thinks it is "cute" when I bring home abandonded puppies or, er, 60 Rwandan orphans for us to take care of... I am thankful for my family and my sweet sweet niece who is wise beyond her years. I'm thankful for Spencer for giving me 11 years of devotion- as of this week (BTW, happy birthday Spence!). And most of all I am thankful for my friends and country! Whew....it has been a great year, cause I could go on and on....
Callie - Funny you asked what I am most thankful for this year. I just did a blog post on this topic last night. In a year of challenges both big and small I am most thankful for my friends. Having no family here for support my friends are nothing short of a Godsend to me. And I'm so thankful to count you as one of them.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, I may have an announcement to make later today regarding a new job. So, check your email later. =0)
I am thankful for an unbelievably patient and fun partner to share this crazy adventure with. I also have been blessed beyond measure by the most kick a** friends.
ReplyDeleteOh YES. YES YES YES.
ReplyDeleteI'm So thankful for you, friends like you, and my family, and the cutest girls on the planet. For a quick example of their awesomeness, check THIS out: Last night, while in a public restroom, Ailey says to me "Mama, boys don't have to wipe when they go potty." I reply "Right, honey, except when they go poop." Cause I'm blunt and direct like that. THEN, she says, "Yes, because they don't poop out of their penises.. right, Mama?" bwahahaha! This happens ALL day. Every day. How could I NOT be thankful for entertainment that rivals any reality show? Also thankful that I've finally found a hair color that doesn't require (as) expensive monthly maintenance and bleach, that I've finally found a cure for this nasty Bieber fever I've been fighting, that I found a bra that defies gravity--and my National Geographic boobs--that Chanel has created the most perfectly colored nail polish line of all time, that Lanvin created an AMAZING line for H&M--and that I actually got my hands on some!, that Atl is a city full of delicious food, amazing music, killer art, great consignment stores for my girls to feed my shopping addiction, and for a husband who puts up with all of my craziness. I'm also HUGELY thankful that our little city is becoming Hollywood South, allowing me to get work that I normally wouldn't have access to at this point in my career. I could go on, but at this point I'm sure YOU'RE thankful that my girls are climbing up my legs, begging me to "get off the computer"...!
XOXOXO Happy Thanksgiving, Love.
I love all of your stationary - so fun!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for: Getting married to my best friend, Hunt, last month. We constantly look at each other and say "can you believe we're MARRIED?!?" - still in shock I guess. :)
For the unbelievable amount of boxes that I moved into Hunt's apartment after the wedding - that we are still walking around and crawling (literally) over. I get frustrated by the constant clutter and all the "stuff" but then I realize how I'm in such a small percentage of people in the world that has this much stuff and that I'm blessed to have the piles and piles of things to sort through and figure out where they're going to live! Now, if I could just find my good hairdryer....
For crisp Braeburn apples, Ferrari Carano Chardonnay, Garlic Champagne Mustard, new mini-pie molds from W-S that I get to experiment with for Thanksgiving, and eating delivery pizza with my husband and going classy by drinking beer out of our wedding crystal....we just figure we should go ahead and use it!!
I am thankful for re-connecting with you! And of course, my fantastic husband, our wonderful family, adorable if not mischievous pup, this killer table I recently bought for a song at auction, our Jeep, the Colorado free range Turkey I'll be picking up today, the bubbly I'll be enjoying all weekend, and a roof over our heads:)

ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for my ever moving belly and getting to feel my tiny baby grow to what feels like a whale rolling around in there. I can't believe I will be a MOMMY in eight short weeks!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for the art of correspondence, and Calliespondence, of course. I'm thankful that the internet allows me to keep track of family, old friends and new, and their new babies, new businesses, and new boobs. True story. I'm thankful for sunshine and rain and honeybees. I'm thankful for sugar cookie eggnog in my coffee, the apple sized baby in my belly, and the first chance in 30 years not to suck in my stomach! And most of all I'm thankful for my husband - marrying him didn't just get me a new ring, monogram, and Le Creuset, but an entirely new life, and attitude.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun. My Monday just became more zen. Thanks, Callie!
I am thankful for my friends who held my hand and my heart and cried with me and for me when my son died. On days when I wanted to stay in bed with the covers over my head, they wouldn't let me, coaxing me to go for a walk, to the gym or out to lunch. They supported me, sustained me and kept me sane.
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm not too late! I loved reading everyone else's responses. Kanda's comments killed me! Here's to her grill!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for a wonderful family, great friends, good food, and a God who loves me just because. And how beautiful has this fall been!
xoxo
