crushing hard for kate spade.

morning peeps.  hope everyone had a wonderful halloween!  now.  i don't know if any of you "like" kate spade on facebook, but i do and i would hereby like to change my relationship with her to LOVE.  this is what they put up yesterday in honor of the holiday.  i mean, how cute is that little painting?

what i love most about kate is that her advertising and marketing efforts have such a defined style - and a fabulous one at that.  they use color liberally (which i adore...i can't get enough of some bright and bold hues), don't take themselves seriously at all (love a good dose of whimsy), and just are so darn stylish and compelling i can't stand it and immediately trot off to the website and fill my cart up with handbags and clothes.  and jewelry and sunglasses.  and 2011 day planners (hint hint, santa).  just look at this advertisement; now here is a company who knows how to have a little fun.

what really caught my eye a few weeks ago was this image they put up of their new london store.  those smart cookies lined a CLOSET.  yes, just how i line envelopes - same idea.  OMG.  obsessed.

how fabulous are these stairs, also in the london shop...

now here is what really made me stand still in my tracks.  this image, again from london.  i could look at this picture for hours trying to reveal all of the delicious details in it.  so many colors and styles, yet they all "go"...how does one accomplish such a feat?  i need to know. (p.s. does this image remind anybody else of something you would see in domino??)
here is an image of their new york store.  how fun is that wall.
a different new york store, same gallery wall effect and stripes as in london.

also, this ad campaign is superb.  it's titled "3 ways to wear some of our favorites for spring."  they include fresh copy that you actually *want* to read alongside the 3 outfit ideas. love it!

naturally, they have an amazing paper line too.  this little holiday ditty says "spike the punch" and inside it says "have a spirited holiday."  my kind of card!

how this company went from being purveyor of black nylon rectangular bags when i was in college to (in my opinion) one of the most stylish and smartest around - i do not know, but hats off to kate spade for sure.  i will leave you with a most fabulous outfit from their fall 2010 collection.
love you kate! call me.
