wood grain party invitation

the look and feel of wood grain is very "dude-esque," right?  i mean, that's what i picture when i think "man cave" or "smoking room"....a wood paneled den with a tartan jacket hanging on the back of the door.  that's why this invitation was just perfect for a 30th birthday party invitation for a guy.  i found some white paper embossed with a wood grain texture, then lined navy blue envelopes with chocolate brown wood grain paper.  then we printed the invitation with navy and brown ink in a modern style.

we intentionally left a lot of plain wood grain at the top...just so you could get a good look at it with no ink.

cue 'macho man' by the village people...
