first up today - a card with a great combination of borders featuring a green envelope lined with red and white polka dot paper. i love this card; it just says CHRISTMAS to me. and this little guy has got to be such a charmer. just look at that picture! too cute.
next, we have a square card printed with spruce green ink on cream cardstock...paired with a brown envelope (i can't get enough of dark envelopes - they just stand out so much in a stack of mail!) lined with snow & graham's "winter tweets" print. one of my faves. and the color on sweet townley's picture ties into the card's palette perfectly! that little dear is a repeat client; i'll be showing you her birth announcement very soon.
also, worth mentioning is that the two prior clients live in NYC...and calliespondence is in atlanta. we truly can work with clients everywhere and do it all the time!
lastly, we have a special card. you may recall the wedding of brin and barton, whose invitations kicked off this entire venture. i was so proud to design their christmas card this year, which also acted as Small Voices Foundation's card - the non-profit that brin runs to benefit a small, Christian-based orphanage in Rwanda. they asked their friends at the orphanage to send them some pictures of the kids to use on their holiday card...what they got back was just too precious not to share.
how adorable are they and their festive necklaces! you should remember Small Voices Foundation when you're doing your 2011 budget for philanthropic donations - it is an absolutely wonderful organization where every single dollar you donate goes directly to these very kids in Rwanda. in fact, SVF is sending two very deserving girls (both genocide survivors) to college!!! how amazing is that! olive and domina. meet them and hear their stories here.
we wrapped brown & white twine around the card...flat printed the message in red ink on cream cardstock...and paired it with a kraft paper envelope. that little girl has to bring a smile to your face when she greets you in your mailbox.
a card with a cause. what's better than that!?
xoxo
THAT. IS. AMAZING. I'm crying. Wow.
