design inspired engagement party invitations

i love a good engagement party.  a fabulous dress is in order, cocktails are flowing and there's generally a touching toast to round the evening out.  i was thrilled to work with a fun client on engagement party invitations for a local interior designer who just happens to love classic design elements like chinoiserie and geometric patterns!  we settled on a grey, powder blue and soft red color combination and found the perfect liner paper with pagodas...

the invitation featured a greek key border around the text, and was mounted on matching blue cardstock.

we tied in the grey with a grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the back of the invitation, where the hosts and hostesses were listed.

i heard the party was a rollicking good time and even featured decor like big red pagodas!!  love that.  congrats to the happy couple!

also, house update...good and bad news.  good news: the other couple withdrew their offer, so our little "competition" was cancelled.  bad news: in light of that, we resubmitted our original offer and STILL have not heard anything from the bank.  those guys are really something, aren't they!
