a pink lemonade party

y'all, i stay up entirely too late.  even right now as i write this, it's 12:30 in the morning.  i do not know why, i have always been such a night owl.  i am absolutely more productive and alert at night.  yeah, real useful then and not when i'm chasing two curtain crawlers around all day, making all kinds of food stuffs and trying to keep a house somewhat tidy.  but you know who i can text or email when i have a late night thought or questions, and ten times out of ten, i'll get a response within a couple of minutes?  my friend shannon.  i love that about her.  we'll usually text back and forth about whatever pressing agenda item we have and then close by commiserating about what a curse it is to be an incurable night owl.

shannon and i are alike in that way, and also in the way that we love color.  our closets are eerily similar in styles and hues (read: bright...and we also have a little tibi "issue").  so it's only natural that we'll gravitate toward the same stationery choices as well!  i have been majorly crushing on this hot pink trellis pattern since i saw it in smock's new releases a couple of months ago...and shannon loved it too.

isn't it so perfect for her little girl's pink lemonade 2nd birthday party?

we simply had to do matching notecards.

and now...hold on to your seats, folks.  check out this shindig!

spike-able lemonade for the grown-ups...

...and fun cups for the little ones to enjoy their refreshing bevvie in.  yellow for the gents, pink for the ladies.

except for rinne, she does prefer bottles.

make sure not to miss that custom awning over the food table - i mean, cutest thing ever.

shannon is famous worlds over for her cupcakes.  these did not disappoint!

favors were darling...a little pail with pink lemonade bunny gummies (annie's is the best!  no high fructose corn syrup, hooray!), a lemon shaped post-it note pad and pink chocolate dipped pretzel sticks.  yum.

here's the lemonade stand proprietress and her super cute mama.  oh yeah, did i mention that shannon pulled off this soiree 6 months pregnant???

happy 2nd birthday ann palmer!!  shannon, chat later?  say midnight?  ok.
xoxo
